No Need Is Too Small. No Voice Too Quiet. We Are Dedicated To Bringing A Healthy Living And Structured Support To Underprivileged Children Worldwide.

Here at West  Indian Friends That Care, we’ve dedicated our lives to helping  underprivileged children across the world. Founded in 2003, we’re a Non  For Profit organization that operates at zero percent overhead. This  means me work diligently at our Fundraisers and making  that connection in the communities we support.

Each donation we  make is only made after we’ve reviewed the organization comprehensively  over a period of months. We then work with the organization to determine  how best to allocate our resources to help the most needed children. To  date, we’ve have worked with fourteen orphanages in Trinidad and Guyana  and locally with Sick Kids Hospital and Honey Church Family Life  Resource Center in Toronto and Brampton Ontario Canada.

In the  future, we hope to extend our support to other nations across the globe,  as we continue to improve the lives of children worldwide.

West  Indian Friends That Care holds two annual events to help support our  fundraising work – Dinner & Dance in the springtime, and Family Fun  Day in the summer. Each event we’ve hosted in the past has yielded large  attendances and significant contributions, and we’re proud of the  community we continue to build through our work.

I believe caring for orphans is one of the highest, noblest aspirations. I believe caring for orphans is one of the highest, noblest aspirations. After my first interaction with these underprivileged children, I’ll admit I believed I was uniquely called to make a difference in their lives. At first, I was challenged and saddened. But after seeing their smiles, I gained an enormous sense of personal fulfillment and passion for their cause. This cause is now my life-long journey, I only wish that everyone could experience this unique feeling. I'm so fortunate and honored to have the role of providing the foundation and tools to help these children succeed in their future endeavors.”

“I'm just an ordinary person. I have the same joys and frustrations we each experience. While we all strive for a feeling of peace and joy; this feeling, I believe, can only be experienced by helping others. One of the best ways in  helping  others is working  with a respected non for profit organization which provides an  positive impact

“I'm just an ordinary person. I have the same joys and frustrations we each experience. While we all strive for a feeling of peace and joy; this feeling, I believe, can only be experienced by helping others. One of the best ways in  helping  others is working  with a respected non for profit organization which provides an  positive impact on others around the globe. This involves sacrifice and choosing a role of humility in serving others less fortunate than you.

“Working with orphans is the experience of a lifetime. Every day, there is an opportunity to make a difference. And each individual moment allows us to see the impact we can have on a young life's  . These children are in need of devotion, love and affection. Seeing their smiles on their faces  was all I needed. A small moment of happiness in a life surrounded by despair. This was my personal turning point. It was a moment of pure inspiration. I realized  along with my team and volunteers, we can help these children and make a clear difference in their lives. This small moment of inspiration was the foundation on which West Indian Friends That Care was built. Now, our team here at West Indian Friends That Care empower orphans by giving them a voice and showing them they are loved and valued. We focus on each individual child’s growth and development, and support them with the resources to realize their true, unending, potential.
