Here at West Indian Friends That Care, we’ve dedicated our lives to helping underprivileged children across the world. Founded in 2003, we’re a Null For Profit organization that operates at zero percent overhead. This means me work diligently at our Fundraisers and making that connection in the communities we support.
Each donation we make is only made after we’ve reviewed the organization comprehensively over a period of months. We then work with the organization to determine how best to allocate our resources to help the most needed children. To date, we’ve have worked with fourteen orphanages in Trinidad and Guyana and locally with Sick Kids Hospital and Honey Church Family Life Resource Center in Toronto and Brampton Ontario Canada.
In the future, we hope to extend our support to other nations across the globe, as we continue to improve the lives of children worldwide.
West Indian Friends That Care holds two annual events to help support our fundraising work – Dinner & Dance in the springtime, and Family Fun Day in the summer. Each event we’ve hosted in the past has yielded large attendances and significant contributions, and we’re proud of the community we continue to build through our work.
